1. buy raw gems from the auction house
2. mine them from mineral nodes
3. prospect them from cobalt or saronite ore

Its interesting that you showcased this on Saturday… I was looking at a ton of green gems this weekend today and trying to figure out what to do with them when I noticed the ones you mentioned and also the level 75 rare neckpieces such as the Jade Dagger Pendant, which will give you a dream shard 100% of the time for 4 green gems and one eternal earth (the profit on the rings you showcase here might be better… I don’t have my auctioneer data at work to double check…)
Great idea nonetheless, and I will likely start converting some of these worthless green gems to enchanting mats this evening.

@Erk
Really going to depend on the price of dream shards. On my server they generally hover around 12-15g.
Mats for blue neck = mats for 4 rings + 2 crystallized earth left over
Take the DE value of one of those rings and multiply it by 4 to see if it’s worth it or not. For me it came out to 15g for the blue neck vs. 32g for the 4 green rings.

Hey Zuggy,
Firstly i want to thank you so much for this recent gold making domination and your previous gold making guide, all those items i thought were worthless ended up to make me thousands thanks to the information in your guides.
Anyway i was hoping to get my jewelcrafting up on my alt, but he is already level 60 :S i dont suppose you have a guide what is a cheap way of getting my mining and jewelcrafting up, if you dont have one is there one you’ve seen and recommed?
Thanks for your time

This is not doable with tailoring couse 1 item cost atleast 15 cloth and thats about 5g and then a thread which is 2.70g = 6.70g and they disenchant into 1 infinite
